Trail Estate Winery

We make minimalist small-batch wines. That means we employ sustainable practices, hand pick all our fruit, wild ferment our wines and leave them whole as they should be — never back-sweetened and if wines allow, unfiltered. We aim for wines that are uncompromising, rich with character and structure. Our wine styles are often-times daring. Winemaker Mackenzie Brisbois — named one of the top emerging winemakers by Toronto Life Magazine — employs wild-ferments for their ability to build palate texture - whether it be a complex, soulful Unfiltered Chardonnay or knife-edge Orange/Skin- or Barrel-Fermented Riesling. No one wine or vintage is ever the same (nor should they be). Each wine tells the story of the site and vintage with unabashed honesty and freshness. Tour hours:

Taste the labours of each vintage in our warm, modern tasting space with vineyard views, or in summer, beside the vines! Large-Group Tastings can be booked on Groups of 6 or more are strongly encouraged to book ahead. A sample of 4 wines (1oz pours) is $8/pp. We are a working winery and currently do not offer formal winery tours, but do welcome curiosity!
