Award-winning, limited-edition (production: 62 cases) Icewine from one of Niagara’s most celebrated winemakers. The 2016 Wisteria Tree Cabernet Franc Icewine is luscious, opulent and unique. Vinified from 100% estate-grown fruit, hand-picked in January 2017 at -11°C, the juice was fermented with select yeast, then aged 8 months on lees in a re-coopered French oak barrel, before hand-bottling. The wine’s nuanced aromatics of strawberry and cedar with a confectionary tone allude to the succulent palate that follows. Subtle wild raspberry notes migrate from nose to the palate accompanied by an array of sun warmed berries. The influence of oak is further revealed with vanilla and cedar notes. The lengthy finish is berry filled and transitioning.
