2021 Bella Terra Calm the Franc Down

We invite you to relax, unwind, and add some calmness to your day with our 2021 vintage of Calm the FRANC Down! Tasting Notes: This well-rounded, medium-bodied, Cabernet Franc dominant wine is a ready-to-enjoy addition to our selection of estate grown Cabernets. 16 months of aging in mostly neutral French oak barrels, and a very small addition of estate grown Malbec, add a pleasant richness that, despite its fun name, keep this wine on the more serious side of Cab Francs.  On the nose, aromas of black cherry, red currant, plum, violet and dark cocoa are seductive and generous and give you a good idea of what is coming up next on the palate. The flavours are well defined on the front-palate leading with black cherry, cassis and plum before a hint of fresh herbs appears on the mid-palate. Followed by dark chocolate, licorice and more black cherries, the finish lingers with a spark of light spices.   Aging Potential: Enjoy now or keep in your cellar for 2+ years  Food Pairing: A fantastic food pairing option would be seared duck breast with a blackberry reduction.
