Your support of our family business is incredibly overwhelming. As you know, with restaurants & borders closed we’ve lost a decent amount of our revenue at a time when expenses don’t really change. We’re preparing the vineyards with our full crew (thank goodness for that!), and we’ve been busy bottling the spring wines. This could have been overly stressful – but instead, you’re ordering wine at a rate that is keeping us afloat. And we want to give back more.
Together, we can beat Covid-19 and support our local community!
You may remember Jo Pacinda from working on the patio a few years back when we first opened the doors. Since then Jo’s been working her dream job, in the wardrobe department at Shaw Theatre Festival. We’re very proud of our Jo! Shaw Fest is of course on lock-down, so along with her colleagues, Jo has been sewing masks for the hospital staff in our local area. So far, Jo has sewn 300 masks & 200 headbands for the nurses. Here’s a great article that talks about the PPE & how the Shaw has stepped up to help. We’re delighted to be able to offer our assistance in this community project.
From now on, every time you order a case of wine we’ll slip in a mask for your use and we’ll donate the supplies for 6 more for Jo to sew for the hospital staff in our local area.
