Chardonnay, 2021

The 2021 Chardonnay is sourced entirely from Canada’s oldest Chardonnay vineyard on the Beamsville Bench. Over 60 years old, this vineyard provides an amazing starting point for the wine. The grapes are fermented in French oak barrels, then aged in those barrels for ten months to gain character and texture. This translates into a wine of exceptional complexity. The nose is inviting and complicated with a balanced combination of tree fruits, spices and minerality. The palate is a perfect combination of delicate pear and yellow apple, a hint of citrus, ginger, baking spices, oak and minerality. History has shown that this Chardonnay evolves beautifully over time, and the 2021 will undoubtedly continue this tradition.
