2023 Lush Sparkling Rosé

2023 Lush Sparkling Rosé is a continuation of the Two Sisters dedication to the creation of extraordinary sparkling wine. The 2023 vintage included a sunny, warm summer, which resulted in superior flavour development before the early hand harvest of the fruit for this wine. Lush is crafted by gently whole cluster pressing the fruit, which is 67% Chardonnay and 33% Pinot Noir. Fermentation for the base wine is done in stainless steel. Extended time on lees allows for purposeful development of the wine in bottle. Lush has a delicate pink colour because of a late addition of a small amount of 2020 Cabernet Franc after disgorging. The mousse is dramatic, and the active effervescence persists in the glass. The nose is bursting with citrus, berries, fresh cut flowers and sweet herbs. The palate has a brilliantly acidic feel, balanced by a lovely undertone of residual sweetness and an elegant texture. Hints of red currant and cranberry add complexity to the citrus and floral notes on the tongue. Perfect for any situation, Lush is ideal for celebration or sipping, as well as incredibly versatile with food.
