Georgian Bay Pinot Gris from Four Wheel Farm near Creemore is the perfect fruit for our third release from the Terroir series of wines. Grown on a beautiful site overlooking Georgian Bay, to our knowledge this is the only commerical planting of Pinot Gris in the area. Not only that, the vines are around 15 years old so they have great maturity. Hand-tended from spring to harvest, we were able to pick these grapes at their prime before a gentle press and fermentation in stainless steel. The resulting wine is very bright and fresh on the palate with good complexity and finish slight mushroom nose, with citrus, fresh cut grass and a good sense of minerality. A dry white, expect it to be refreshing and well balanced with a surprisingly lengthy finish.
