2021 Cabernet VQA

2021 Cabernet VQA We love the Cabernets. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were two of the first vinifera grapes that we planted on our property to see if it would survive. We were told that that they would not ripen in this area of Ontario – it’s too cold, it’s too wet!… Well it turns out that they grow wonderfully here, not too vigorous, and they ripen a bit earlier than in Niagara. So we have planted it as some of our larger plots. We have planted an acre of each of them now. Tasting notes for this wine are : This medium bodied deep ruby red wine is a lovely blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. This  medium bodied well balanced, deep ruby red  wine has healthy tannins, medium acidity, and a long finish.   It has lovely aromas of ripe red fruit, wild blackberries, anise and baking spices on the nose.This  medium bodied well balanced, deep ruby red  wine has healthy tannins, medium acidity, and a long finish.   It has lovely aromas of ripe red fruit, wild blackberries, anise and baking spices on the nose.
