Tune in to Andre Proulx @andrewinereview on Instagram Live Friday May 15 at 8pm as he hosts a horizontal tasting of @kacabavineyards Syrah from a fantastic 2017 vintage! Winemaker Vadim Chelekov will be co-hosting this virtual tasting, and fielding all your questions!

Kacaba Vineyards is home to some of the oldest plantings of Syrah vines in Ontario. Since the planting in the late 1990’s, the focus of the owner Michael Kacaba was to craft wines of the highest quality while respecting a delicate balance of the Niagara Escarpment ecosystem. Over time, two newer blocks of Syrah were added on the property. By 2013 all vines matured and each block was vilified and bottled individually. Since, we try to vilify all there plantings as identically as possible to allow for the maximum terroir expression, we will talk about what exactly makes the three wines so different and yet equally delicious!
