2022 Sauvignon Blanc

The 2022 Two Sisters Sauvignon Blanc shows a pronounced varietal character, and continues the tradition of balance and drinkability for this grape variety. The colour is inviting, a pale straw that foreshadows the fresh, delicately pungent aroma of this wine. An herbaceous character of fresh herbs, cut grass and green gooseberries combines with notes of zesty lemon, crisp green apple and white grapefruit to create an enticing nose. The palate delivers a burst of lemony citrus, as vibrant acidity elevates the bright flavours of this wine. The result is a lovely and pleasing balance of flavour, acidity and texture. Fresh basil and lemongrass contrast the prominent fruitiness, and the lingering tension of these very different aspects of this Sauvignon Blanc makes for a delightfully long and delightful finish. Awarded a Silver Medal at the 2024 National Wine Awards of Canada.
