WINEMAKER PROFILE

Amy Baldwin was born and raised in Barrie Ontario. She studied literature abroad in England and general arts in Montreal, anything involving creativity is a point of interest. Winemaking became more of an interest, it developed into a passion. Amy studied at Niagara College in the two year Winery and Viticulture program followed by the one year Wine Business Management program. She worked two and a half years at Reif Estate Winery in Niagara on the Lake in retail and wine production. “Winemaking is one of those unique practices that harmonizes science and nature. Every year is different. Once the grapes have been harvested the creative possibilities become infinite. Wines can be similar but they will never be the same. From the vineyard to the bottle each step is as exciting as the last.”
